Welcome to The Fat Squirrel

The Fat Squirrel website

This is a family website for the  former owners of the  CrownCast Podcast a website and podcast that were dedicated to RCI and Cruising. We have moved on to this site to have a broader field of subject matter to pull from for blog, audio and video entries. We welcome listeners and friends who have an interest in a broader site and what is going on with our family. If you are interested in blogging on your day to day goings on, contact Jamie or Veronica

…… and welcome to the Fat Squirrel

Status Update:

While most of Fat Squirrel is up and running, we are working on porting over some of the content of the former CrownCast website.

  • Currently I am working on moving all of the 2010 FOS cruise podcast and Disneyland podcast here.
  • Veronica and I will be finishing BOTH vacation podcasts, we just need some time to sit down and do it.
  • The message board has been moved here and is working and the old on has been shut down.
  • Older podcast on family vacations will be found and posted up here as I am able.
  • We also will try to find our older written reviews and post them here.

Thank you for your patience and we are glad you found us.

Our next Family Adventure :  We are in the planning stages for a 2013 vacation to WDW for Marathon weekend and a 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise aboard Freedom of the Seas from Port Canaveral, Florida.

Veronica is planning running the full Disney Marathon, Tess, myself and possibly my Father will be running the 5k. We will be there form Thursday to Sunday.

7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise aboard Freedom of the Seas from Port Canaveral, Florida. Stopping in CocoCay, Bahamas; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; Philipsburg, St. Maarten. We are booked into a D1 in cabin 1310.

Why is the website named The Fat Squirrel?

Taking a cue from that noted thespian Homer Simpson who noted that the name of band should ” Er, um, we need a name that’s witty at first, but that seems less funny each time you hear it “. With that idea Fat Squirrel, a rodent who is the official mascot of suburbia was born.
